13 plus a 65g hospital tank and a FW shrimp/guppy tank.
Our list will be very different when we move.

just to drop the "other shoe", i did a head count this AM because i was curious, and unless i missed something, we currently have 17 specimens of venomous fish: (6) lions, (4) scorps, (3) waspfish, (2) Rhinos, and (2) stingfish.
we also keep SH, anthias, and barnacle blennies.
i guess it's a good thing we both like the hobby...YIKES!
i guess the "head count" was something i never should have been curious about...heh

We are also very careful and give them tons of the respect they deserve. If we are doing something in the tank we try to use a spotter to let us know if someone is moving in our direction. Messing around in the tank and moving them are the two times we are super careful.... but we know it's a risk and have read all we can on envenomation and what to do if we are stuck.... besides cuss loudly.
That is funny, my wife and I used to have a couple rattle snakes, but we were able to duct tape the lid down and drop a mouse in once every couple of weeks, we never had to stick our hands in there.

If I would have waited a couple weeks I would have been ok as I got another job shortly after it happened

I think this might have answered my question. I was wondering if this purchase happened to coincide (perhaps motivated by) with a certain spawning pair of fish at a certain aquarium out your way

No, it's to replace the one we just accidently killed. I've had 2 for over a year now.
It's a really cool occurrence and it answers alot of questions as to why some looked like they are a mix of 2 species. I've never been to San Fran... maybe it's time to check it out.
