Greetings all!

New to the hobby and super excited. Done a lot of research but with that comes doubt on something could be done better or different according to someone else, this forum seems well informed so i'll give it a shot!

I have a 60 gallon tank that I am currently working on getting ready! I have it filled with 60 pounds of CaribSea live sand, water has been made safe and filled, hydrometer is reading 1.023. I have a canister filter that is currently pumping, heater set up but not turned on.

Based on my research, the next step here is have a "cycle" start. Research has also lead me to believe that live sand has started the cycle.

Tank water is clear for the most part, but not crystal clear.

This entire process has been taking place over the last 10 days, with the last hydrometer check 2 days ago.

Sorry if it was all over the place but that's just what i've done so far. Any input on the next steps would be greatly appreciated!
