When I first read this post I said in my head, "This tusk is as good as dead." I think your tanks are ok for hardy fish like Triggers but like I said before in another topic, no way you'd be able to keep any fish that require good water conditions and a good environment. If I were a betting men, I would have bet a lot of money that the Tusk would die.

I thought the same thing.....Tusk's may be Wrasses, but IMO they are not as hardy or as bold as any of the Thalassoma wrasses.

Just so you know slack... if you lose that puffer, he may take the rest of the tank with him. Just FYI.

Avoid feeding pellets to fish like puffers or cowfish, a lot of the tiem teh pellets have air in them which is bad for puffers and cows.

Man slack, your fish don't look too good. Your pinktail is very pail and your dogface (the one hiding) looks like crap. Doesn't look to good for them...

Also, I'd cut up your shrimp, shell & all. There's a lot of waste when they're fed whole to fish that have to tear them up. It looks like a big chunk of shrimp being sucked into an intake. Stuff like this can cause problems in the long run.

Listen y'all...there are two ways of learning. By wisdom or by experience. Slack is going to learn from both but primarily the latter. I did it too with freshwater fish when I was younger. Then eventually I gained a distaste for loosing fish and my thinking changed. My advice to you is don't hijack his threads and cut out the pejorative comments. Let him learn through experience. Stop volunteering the same advice over and over again.

Stop hijacking his threads?
Slack's comments on every thread turns them south. Let him learn through experience? He's says he has 12 years of it! We just want him to stop giving ridiculous advice to people and stop putting his fish through torture!

It is an unbelievable passion many of you display to "answer" Slack's folly. It's not like he's aborting babies, after all they are simply fish that belong to him. Using words like "torture" when he simply posted a pic to show off a few of his new fish, I would say is hijacking his thread. Nonetheless, I think my advice here is fruitless :) Y'all do as you wish!

Gimme a break....Our issue with Slack is he comes here and has yet to listen to any advice from anyone.
I could care less if you have an overcrowded tank, I've "been there done that", but when he starts trying to give advice such "the nitrogen cycle dosen't really exist, just throw your fish in the tank", it gets ridiculous....In his time here I have never once heard him take anyones advice. I have been keeping SWF for awhile, but the reason I come here is to learn from people like SrFisher, CCampbell, AquaKnight, Bioneck and a long long list of other people whom have had experiences as well in the hobby. This hobby is all about "live and learn", Slack is not here to learn, he is hear to "stir the pot".....Whatever, doesn't really bother me anymore, I just want to make sure nobody is dumb enough to take his advice.
