all in all... this site is great and the rules are there to protect us. kind of like speed limits... most people dont like them either lol I know I sure dont, but they are there to help.

They are pretty good stockwise, and with the information and advise, but when it comes to selling on Consignment they are crooks. I was hoping to trade the Koi for store Credit for Saltwater Livestock, but the rates were not good.
I was hoping to move them here because you can usually tell they are going to good homes.
Ah well there are other ways. I'll probably try a couple pond installation guys.

lfs isn't going to give you more than what they can normally pay for the items. My lfs gives me a $8 credit for kenya that he's selling for $25.

I would agree, but you might try your local reef club, generally they are a little more forgiving because it is just a reef club and not a for profit business housing a forum whose used items competes with them. (I do think marine items only is a bit silly. Especially if you open it up as a trade vs for sale)

I like the no posting in classifieds sections until you reach certain criteria, it helps weed out some of the riff raff. But that being said, there are a couple of forums I'm a part of because I troll their classifieds for stuff I'm looking for. And am not really a part of the community.

That I can understand, but they weren't offering to buy it for credit, they wanted to sell it on consignment without ever carrying any risk. If something happened to the fish before it was purchased, I was the only one that suffered. If thats the case, I need more than the 50% that they were offering.

Looks like I've gone and Hijacked the thread.
I think the Rules are very beneficial, and keep the riff raff out. I'm also very impressed at how quickly they shut down the spam posts that people try and post everywhere.
Its nice to find somewhere online that isn't overrun with Video commercials, bank popups and links to social networking sights.

Besides, for something like Koi (no offense at all here!), I'd rather there not be a whole new thread, it seems like it fits in much better tucked away in a little pocket. Like here!

Most of us riff raff,do have up and running tanks,and exp on other site.So we can buy from "members",but we cant trade because some one doesnt like what I've posted in the past.Does riff raff money not spend just the same.Some folks would like to get a couple honest trades in us before charging folks.But complaining wont change rules,and to think I have been trying to get intouch with Flricordia for ever to come see his famous tank because we live in same town,only to find out now I dont meet his criteia as a customer.I started posting here because lot more florida folks with deals.Now I have to go back to my other site.Sorry I dont have anything to offer forum
