Nice. im thinking of improving my light. was it a DIY or did you buy it custom made?
it is a retro DYI but you can send them your hood and they install it and send it back for free. i choos to install it myself becasue i have done alot of retro work. it was rather easy IMO

if yoru changing to just the 4ps'd you should really try it on your own. it is not very hard and takes less work then the halide. you can view the install instruction on the web site to decide if it is something you think you can do

thank you very much. cause i was thinking of adding mh. how high is your light from your tank?
It is all in the factory hood so I don’t know I would say 5 inches or so. I altered the retro kit a bit and added my own high volume fans. I have ZERO heating issues. The tank never gets more then 80. Good surface agitation to promote cooling is key IMO. I evap about a half gallon every few days. i love having the MH on the tank. it looks ALOT better then the factory lighting and i have the added benefit of being abel to put in any coral i want

yea thats why i want them. how much did you pay for them? may i ask?

well it cost me a bit more then it needed to. i bought the 70 watt retro kit and they purchased the parted for the 150 kits. in the end i paid around 600 but i could have bought the 150 kit from the start for in the 400's.
now that i have seen the kits in person i would build my own next time around. it is very basic. they only thing the kits does it makes it very easy to get all in one place and everything fits just right. you could build your own for around 200 bucks and have the same results without the fancy factor.
my main thing was i wanted it ALL in the factory hood. I hate the topless nano tank look.

yea i want it in the factory hood also. i really dont like the topless hood cause i feel my fish will jump out. im checking the kits out. and they seem easy but i rather buy it and let my lfs do it for me. do you think its work it?

Red Mush

thats about right. it is just a really big red shroom. i went through alot to get that big boy. that shroom is so bright in person. i bought HUGE 50 pound rock filled with ugly green shrooms that had this one red giant shroom in the middle. i chipped it off the rock when i got home and then sold the rock back to the store lol. i REALLY wanted it. it is a good 4 inches across. i'm not a big soft coral fan but that one really cought my eye
