What should I do about it. I think I need to get better filtration because all I have right now is a refugium with 2 mangroves and some macro algae. What type of filtration should I get I know a lot of people don't usually do it but I have an emperor 400 would that help at all and would I be able to put it in the refugium and what else should I get as far as filtration.

You can treat it several ways. For example, increase flow, water changes, decrease your lights, etc. If you use the search tool, there are many threads on here about cyano and ways to deal with it. Oh, and your emp. 400 will be fine. You can add chemipure elite carbon in it to help as well.

Yep, decrease your lighting and half your food. If you don't have an algae scrubber or other chemical means of absorbing nitrate and phosphate - consider water changes.

Alright so I come home from school today feed my fish see my kole tang picking up some food eat it then around oh 5:00-5:30 and hes wedged in a rock with his eyes out and hes dead.
I checked my water and my ph is about 7.8, my nitrite is 0, my ammonia is 0, my nitrates are around 40-50, my phosphates are 0.
About my nitrates I have the api test kit but I also got it checked at a lfs and they saw .25-0.
I have an emerald crab, 25 hermits, 25 snails, bristle starfish, solar wrasse, and 2 percula clownfish.
Please someone help me out, he was doing fine for the first 4 days and this morning/afternoon.

As for fish I want a midas blenny, a mandarin goby, and a yellow tang. After I get everything sorted out.

Please soomeone help me with the fish is it just a bruise. Also I am just saying is that my fish are staying more towards a piece of the rock and when I come up towards the tank now they move towards the rock instead of coming up now. Could they be breeding?!?!? or starting too. ohh and all the other fish dont look like they dont have anything else on them so please just let me know. And I still have no idea how my kole died could it be becuase not enough algae if it is what is a better tang that would accept algae from a clip more and one thats hardy and that does well in a 75 gallon.

I got stuff for ich and marine velvet but I think it was too late so my one clownfish died. Should I keep treating the water even though I dont see anything on the fish or the fish are acting fine. Also if I were to get another percula clownfish would it be fine even though I already have the other one, I AM WAITING AT LEAST A GOOD 2 WEEKS TO CHECK ON EVERYTHING ELSE, so in the mean time please help with my stocking list so now I want 1 more percula clownfish, 1 more tang either sailfin, yellow, tomini, or kole, 1 mandarin dragonet, and i was looking on this website and saw that a yellowpeel angelfish is reef safe and such, is it?, if so is it aggresive at all.
And one more thing I was wondering if I should put an algae scrubber in the tank and take out the ulva and mangroves or maybe move the mangroves and do an algae scrubber the place where I can put it in sump/refugium, the dimensions are 17inch long, 12inch wide and i definitely have enough room tall i have about 5inch from sand and then prob a good 12-15inch from the top of my stand. This is going in the bottom of the tank and is there a good reference to one or a place where I can buy it from and please include good details or snake I think you did one so you can pm or email me the details. Thank you in advanced.

since you plan on having a reef tank be VERY careful that the medications do not have copper in them
copper, even years after it has been used, can still cause problems for invertabrates
