You could try a scrubber first and see how it goes and then later on add the skimmer when necessary. It's not one or the other. You can use both.

Yeah, no need to discriminate. They both serve different functions in an attempt to meet the same end result.

Nice. I can't wait! take plenty of pics of your build. I'll add it to my scrubber threads if you do! I would be happy to do so. :D

OK I am a thinking of trading in my one occellaris getting a pair of clakiis. Would there be enough room for them in the 75?

Don't mix clownfish.
Clarkiis are pretty cool little fish. I just got a couple of tomato clowns myself. :D I don't like the standard nemo's anymore. I'm more into the off/odd stuff these days.

the space shouldn't be an issue
They are very agressive and may attack fish added after them
and I have kept a maroon and a nemo clown together with no issues

It is your choice on the fish. As far as a protein skimmer, I personally have always run one. So yes, get yourself a good one like the remora c....

a large female are more aggresive than the males
they get even more aggresive if they have eggs
If you keep them with larger or more aggresive fish (i.e. dwarf angels, damsels, larger wrasses) then you shouldn't have an issue
like I said before a skimmer would be my choice over ats
but its all your choice
