Picked these up tonight - there are three heads, anyone tell me what the grey patch is, never noticed it when I bought it. Thanks for looking.

LOL Al I have not got my tank yet.. I am waiting on my Christmas Bonus from work with I am hoping my boss will have in a check tomorrow.. If it is in there I will get the tank this weekend WOOT WOOT.. I do have my QT set up and running tho....

Oh I thought I had done something very wrong, either the test or setting up the tank. I was not sure which it was.. LOL You had me sweating over here.. LOL

OMG.....he set up his qt....threw in a shrimp...did an ammonia test...he tells me it was BLACK...there is no black so I asked him if he did the test right...
Scott started to freak thinking he did the tank set up wrong...LOL....It's ok...I calmed him down...
I told him to re-test .....the ammonia is now green.....almost the darkest green.....I think what happened is he left the shrimp in for 4 days...IT ROTTED ( PEEYEW)
The color of ammonia was so dark...he took it for black.....ALL IS WELL NOW......the color is good....and he will test daily, and monitor it

Well, he does say his house is dark.
Good luck getting the shrimp out, it's gonna smell rancid.

LOl Ok I will tell you. I set up the QT 12 days ago. I used a raw shrimp in it and took that out on tuesday after 4 days of being in there. (EWW and did it stink when I took it out) Well then Tuesday I did the Ammonia test on the tank.. I told Meowzer in a PM that the Ammonia was not readable on the test.. She was like what do you mean not readable, if it was not readable then why did you take the shrimp out.. Well I was confused by then. I explained to her that the test was not readable because the color looked black. She was like you cant mess up the ammonia test.. Well at that point I had thought I did something wrong with the test or setting up the tank.. I was OMG what the hell did I do.. Well come to find out, the highest color on the card is this awful dark green color, so that is what I must have been seeing.. SO I tested again tonight and it is like in between 8.0 and 4.0 so I am assuming it is like 6.0 or something.. I was so worried that I was not cut out for SWF if I could mess up the simple Ammonia test.. LOL

Oh it smelled alright, i scooped it up with a net and that bad boy went right out the back door. There was no way that things was going in my Garbage can, or even down the disposal. EWWW and you know after a few days I would go over by the tank and it smelled like that yucky fishy smell, by the forth day it was like yuck yuck yuck....
