Hey meowzer, wake up, got a question.

Did your RO/DI unit come with an ASO? (automatic shut off)
This is an important device installed at the unit. It's function is to sense back pressure (from the float valve closing) and shut off the water flow.
I'm not sure if all RO/DI units come with this or not, mine did.
I'm thinking some don't and that's why some people need a separate pump, to turn on and off water flow? I could be wrong, my wife says I usually am.

If you need more pics let me know, (I mean of the shut off)

OK...Unit is installed...for now until I get the proper holding containers I am going to just fill a 5g bucket....
I thought I read somewhere that you should get rid of the first few gallons of water made...ANYONE? I can't remember is it 1g...2...or more..or NONE?

Sorry,just read your question.
Probably too late, but just flush system about 10 minutes or so.

Also, when you start using your float system remember your ASO valve might have trapped air inside it and it might 2 or 3 days before it works properly. Then it takes about only 10 minutes to shut off after sensing back pressure.
