sorry keep re-reading and seeing things.
you could look into the magnum koralias. higher flow rates with the same low power consumption

minimum of 250 watts your tank is too tall .you will regret getting a 150 watts. skimmer msx 300 hands down it pulls lot of junk the only draw back is you have to have at least 18" deep sump because it has 12" diameter body and it will filled up with white micro bubbles if you put at least 10- 12 inches of water and the bubble plate makes the skimmer so effective .
ps do not use the mesh wheel because they jam all the time pinwheel is very efficient already

does it come with mesh wheel or do i have to rig anything to make it become pinwheel.

I have to agree on the lights...you might as well get the 250W now...once you start, you will want more, and the 150W won't be strong enough in that tank

thanks alot for the info. What about about t5 what is your thoughts and feeling about it. My concern is the heat it puts out with the 3x250w

I have the 250w and the T5.....
I have egg crate on top, and I run a small 4" fan on a timer with the lights..
my temp never goes above 81.....usually runs 79-80
I have a sump/fuge underneath, and I run a fan under the cabinet all the time.

it comes with both
as far as t5 is concern some have great success with it even on a 30" deep sps tank i will look in to it. i have 2 400watts and 2 250 watts and the heat it generate is something else . the fan really help but you still need a chiller as a back up. same thing as if you go to t5

to me its cheaper to cool a 450 gallon system than 4000 sqft house my house temp is @78- 80 degree during summer
