Meowzer...you were right about the MP40 on random mode. Much better. I think the problem with the long pulse is that it goes from no noise for 30 seconds to full boar immediately and there is no transition. With the random it slowly gets to that level so it is not as drastic. I didnt really notice the noise too much before, but my wife did because she works near it sometimes during the day. Much better now and thank you for the tip!

I would get the cyano siphoned out....what do you use for filtration, do you have a cuc? do you use tap water?
Is that a crocea clam? If so it should be on the rocks.....I would run the MP40 on Random mode.....How high do you let it run?
