Thank Flower, I am trying to make this as easy for me as possible, I am also going to have another tank same size as sump for water changes and I will plumb water right to it. I will post pictures as I go. What do you guys think of having baffles like this (with eggcrate) for a SW sump, minus the bio basket of course.
Not sure what your getting at here? Im interested just a little slow this morning.

Thanks Gill Again, maybe this picture will help more
The eggcrate is going to sit in the 3 inch spaces horizontally, then the media, filter pads would be placed on top, so the water would be pouring over it (down)

Al got a dumb Question for you or others on here, why do people us eggcrate on the bottom of their tank before them put the rock and sand in???
Stability for the live rock and to prevent rockslides . I believe it is also used to relieve some of the pressure of the weight of the rock on the glass.

Kinda figured the writing part and nice guy part
Thanks for the compliment. I try my best to be a good person, its hard sometimes dealing with people everyday, but I do love people. Oh I do love my job most of the time... As for the writing my grandmother taught me the love of reading from a very young age and the more you read the better you can write..
Looks very good Al!!!!! The egg crate should be just fine that way. I for a second pictures it another way.
Egg crate on the bottom of the tank IMHO is more for stability. No real pressure from the rock contacting the bottom of the tank. Some use it to elevate the rock a bit, but then it becomes a dirt trap.
