I'm new to the Saltwater world, I have been wanting to set up a SaltWater Aquarium for a long time. I have a 55gal (display), 20gal (sump) and a 10gal (refugium) AGA. My cousin has helped me in planing and drilling the tanks. Hopefully when he reads this he can fill in what I left out. But here is a few pics of my tanks. We all ready drilled the tanks and I will upload the pics tomorrow.

looks really great, that stand and those two tanks underneath look like a squeaky fit! good planning there (or luck.. LOL)

Cool
Pics look good. We rearanged some of the flow on it. Heres a revised pic.
Renogaw, it was a real tight fit, he had to remove the center brace from the back of the stand and replace it with one along the top back to get them in there. Also he built a small stand to place unmderneath the 10 which give him some room for storage down there. Theres not much room left for everything else, so planning and placement is going to be key to fitting it all in. But we will!
It'll be a super sweet setup when it's done, I'm jealous(sp)!

Hey Doc! Before you get to far. I would cut some glass and make OF's in the corners. First you'll get better surface skimming and if those DIY BH's leak you won't have to drain the entire tank. Just two pieces of glass at a right angle and sili them in. Maybe an inch from the top.......
Liking the sump fuge set-up!
You're an addict! Told ya!

Thanks Tim,
I really like this design too. Everythings so tight it'll require everything to be neat and tidy to fit. Gonna be a fish keeping machine when we're done, not an aquarium.
Yep,
definetly gotta have my shot of salt everyday!
I feel like a junkie
Heck, I saw a decent 55 with stand and N/O lights for 150 and I wanted to go sell some plasma to get it!
and I dont even have anywhere to put another.
There are three in this house now. (125 FOWLR, 65 mixed reef, and my sons 10 gal nano). In order to feed my addiction and keep me from going broke, I've gotta hook some other people around me. Typical junkie behavior 'eh?
We plan on doing the baffles to contain the stockmans when we set up and test run it. You can see that the center of the stockmans are too loe to be an acceptable hieght in the DT, so the water will drop about 3 in. into the OF compartment before entering the standpipes. They are ther just simply to quiten it down. Did 1 1/4 so that the necessary 90's going through the glass werent an issue in flow, plus it'll allow for more flow later if he wanted to bump it up some. He has a budget set up that'll get him there with some decent equipment, just gotta be mindful of it.
The first section of baffles on the fuge will be full of LR rubble and then a 2in sugar sized SB with macros. May even do rubble in the first set of baffles in the sump, just for extra pod production, filtration etc. The 2 tanks will have an 1 1/4 slip coupling to allw him to set up/ pull the tanks independantly.

when i first saw the picture i was thinkin the water level in the DT will be very low. until i read that your going to install baffles on it. then it made sense why it was lower. what are you goin to use acrylic or glass.

Just a little
Funny I hardly even tainted the plumbing, but the electrical PVC
.
Here's so'more
you can see the syphon break in the closest return line, but it's there. You can see it in the furthest return line.
Ok these pics dont do this justice. The baffles turned out really sweet and if you didnt know this dumb 'ol hillbilly
did this, you'd swear it was professionally done. Looking into the display tank.
