I have been in freshwater for approximately 25 years and I have always went by a rule ano more than a inch of fish per gallon of water. Is this the same for saltwater? It seems they would need more. I do not plan on anymore fish as of now just curious.
For new hobbyists my suggestion is 1 inch of fish for each 5 gallons of display tank and use the adult size of the fish, not the current size. As you gain experience this can be modified depending on the activity and swimming requirements of the fish but I strongly suggest you heed this for a year or so.

Thank you. I will definitely retain this advice and make use of it. I do not want stressed or unhappy life in my tank.
