How appropriate. He comes on, introduces himself and the doesn't get a word in edgewise as she makes the next 8 posts before he gets the next one.
Poor guy, wonder what life is like for him at home!!!!

He has to have some kind of muscle car dream. And rice burners dont count. Even though the wife's Odyssey has some kick to it with its 3.6 6, I have taken a few people to school with the family truckster. The best was a suped up civic. The guy was reving that lawnmower and giving me some looks. I pointed at the light and turned off the traction control. As soon as it turned green, I floored it. About 2 seconds later, he was in my rear view mirror. Dont worry about this honey, the kids wernt in the van with me at the time.
You did what?
monsi may not be posting for a while as it would be hard to do with broken fingers! I'm going to have to put one of those teen cams in Star to monitor your driving!

^ ya i am the busy one... she gets to play on the computer all day. besides she doesn't sleep to well instead all i hear while i am trying to sleep is the tika ticka ticka ticka ticka on the keyboard because she is always on the forums.
not going to get into the whole muscle vs import thing... cause its played out. what i do have to say is when my "little four cylinder" eats up one of those 8 cylinders w/ edelbrock blah blah, magnaflow blah blah blah blah.... it puts a smile on my face. not that have not worked on vettes or chargers or gtos ... i just like making a motor half the size have double the power.
how did i know this would become a car discussion. i know most of you are from the midwest, west, or south so fords and chevys are what you know. not to worry though, no one is perfect and sometimes we all have to learn from out mistakes. j/k
i can probably post a video of a honda that i built from the ground up that makes 430hp on pump gas if you guys would like.....
anyways thanks for taking me in.... i can't respond as quick... my laptop has received a saltwater bath... so it works how and when it wants. now "w" key...needs to be pressed four times to work... (see that just took a minute to type one w). also the "e" has to be cut and pasted....not to mention windows 7 likes to freeze on me from time to time.
also... no matter what "she" says.... i am the one that puts my hands in the tank and does everything except research and feed.
So what your saying is that you use 'Uncle Ben's wild rice" instead of the regular rice in your cars? Interesting. Sure when you have that high of a HP : weight ratio, the little rice burner will win. Then again, with fine tuning and whatnot, the bigger car can dust the little ones as well. The arguement goes back and forth, to and fro. Its basically an opinion arguement and I stand on the side of Detroit.
BTW i grew up in Toledo which at that time had 9 auto plants and is the home of Jeep/AMC. There are only 5 ( I think, might be less) auto plants remaining and the original Willys plant is long since gone. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Willys) Your upbringing and culture in the town you grow up in has a lot to do with how you feel in this arguement.

monsi... i guess you still have all fingers intact. you are 100% right on that where you are raised has a lot to do with what of iron sled you like or what type of rice you like to burn.
ya meowzer the betterer half. lol by the way whats going on w/ your mp40?
spanko .... that is the story of my life. i am the fortunate one though.... i let her do all the talking... this way i don't have. by the time she is done explaining something... i would have already built it, fixed, or figured it out. as for the last 2 years of her being on the forum you all have probably figured out that while she typing away, i am the one behind the scenes working on the tanks.

I will actually never buy another american car since I switched to Honda. My Pontiacs and Dodge's all had nothing but wiring issues and motor/transmission issues. My Fiero was a nightmare. The lights would turn on, even if the key wasn't in the ignition. It would be 4am and all of a sudden the ******** lights turned on, or the head lights would flip up and turn on. Blew the motor in that baby. Had a new motor put in and had nothing but issues. Then owned a Plymouth Duster
. Went through 2 auto trannies in under 18 months. Then I had a Sebring, flying pile of junk. Then a Pontiac Grand Am. I begged for a Grand AM and boy and I sorry I did. That car was an electrical and mechanical nightmare. It was the last American car for me. My honda's have NEVER given me even half the issues my american cars did.
I'm all for buying American, but for me, from personal experience, they're just not the same. I beat the hell out of my accord and it's wonderful. Oil changes and I'm basically good to go. It helps that hubby was a Honda mechanic.
I'd imagine that growing up in Detroit would make you biased to US cars, but they just don't do it for me. Now, give me a older Dodge, I'll take that any day, but not as my daily driver.
Okay, Im in, you forced me to do it. Toyota sucks, I have Minisours(?) mind. American completely destroys imports for the most part.
Toyotas put out $hit and people buy it. Toyota have better fuel economy? Nope, my dad had an old escort (forgot the year) and he got 45 MPG out of it. He wasn't racing rice burners at a light though.
As far as my dream car, it would be a 1969 Ford mustang Mach1. All original except maybe paint.
Honda makes a pretty good car so i will give you that, Almost everything out as far as cars go is almost the same. Toyotas just suck. You ever notice on the news how toyotas' gas pedals stuck? Then 1 day you never heard about it again, I wonder who they paid off?
Dodges tend to have some not so reliable transmissions, same w/ pontiacs.
I think all the muscle cars put out by the big 3 are some extremely nice cars, the mustang, camero, and charger are all gorgeous cars.
As far as trucks go, Ford puts out the best, along with Chevy. Then there is dodge, then there is the want to be trucks made by toyota.
here is a nice little video for you to watch as far as quality is concerned.

I'm not going to go any further with the import vs. american thing. It's opinion. And from my past experiences, I'll never, EVER own an american car again.
As for you, MR btldreef ... don't act like I don't do anything with those tanks or you'll be sleeping on the couch!
