I got a pair of new true percs this weekend form a guy who owns a coral farm in Columbus (very cool) I'll get some pics up later tonight! But I do have some questions...
They aren't eating the tetramarine flakes I put in, they take it into their mouths then they spit it out, maybe the food is bad? It doesn't have an expiration and the guy I got it from could have had it a long time. I'm waiting on an email from the farm to see what they were eating there. I do have some bloodworms in my freezer are those any good to feed to saltwater fish???
I have a lot of flow in the tank, it is a 12g and I probably have close to 25x turnover per hr. They are always swimming in the current at the front of the tank, will this tire/stress them out or do they handle high flow well?
The smaller of the two, and also lightly colored (male?) only has 1 ventral fin... if this how they are supposed to be and is it a difference between the sexes?? Or do I have a gimp fish and should I name him nemo lol.
And here is a great shot of his deformation...
