Next Fish

Hey Guys-
Kind of at a bit of a standstill with the tank. I haven't added anything in about 4 months. The tank is 15 months old. It currenlty has a Flame Angle, two black saddle back clowns, and a Filimented Flasher Wrasse, and a Mandarin Dragonet (I stock pods every 2-3 weeks). I am looking to get one more fish to finish the tank, possibly two small fish. It's a 55G Softy / LPS reef. I have a Fluaval 305 Canister Filter, a 10g Refugium with a DSB, LR, Cheato and Caulerpa, an Aqua C Remora protien skimmer, and a Turf Scrubber. I do 20% water changes every week.

I have been eyeing a Long Nose Hawkfish for some time. Anyone here have alot of experience with them? Tips or advice?
I heard that they love to perch on top of corals. Has this resulted in a negative experience for people? Has anyone kept one with a red gorgonian?

Tanks looking good....I have a flamehawk, and I love it...BUT....keep in minds that hawks and shrimp do not go together :(
You didn't mention any in your list

How about a couple of firefish, Or a chalk basslet, or a citron goby....

I like the idea of the firefishes. I wouldn't want to get a fish that would grow to be so big, that I would need to remove it from the tank in the near future (already went through that with a Kole Tang).
The Chalk Basslet is a pretty looking fish. I like the blue stripes. I'm looking at converting the tank to an SPS tank once I get the $$ saved for some LED's (hopefully prices will come down slightly by then). From what I have read about the Cintron Goby is that they peck at the polyps on Acros. I'll have to see what happens with the tank before I put in a fish like that.
I think I am still leaning on the Hawkfish. What is their personality like?

the hawk..is a very entertaining fish....it will perch as the description states.....it will sit and watch you, and when you move over by the tank it will quickly swim away...and stop short behind something....whil it is still watching you...LOL
It gets along with my other inhabitants...this is in my 54G, and with the flame hawk, I have a sixline wrasse, 2 yellow clown goby's, 1 perc clown, a longfin sleeper goby...and NO SHRIMP HAHA

We had shrimp in the tank before we added the hawk fish and haven't had any problem. I would just recommend if you want any shrimp, make sure you add them first and they are adult size.

You are right about that! Our trigger that is suppost to eat shrimp, follows them around and begs to be cleaned. He opens his mouth, they climb inside and clean out the inside of his mouth! Crazy. I about had heart failure the first time I saw it. The hawk watchs them, but we have never seen him near them. We do however, keep them well fed!
