I understand your point of a player belonging to a franchise however, when your an icon in a city and you have 30 years of history in that city, and your in the hall of fame as an Indianapolis Colt when youve never even stepped foot in that city, thats messed up. The old Colts from here are livid that there even associated with Indy and I can understand that. Why the hell would we want records from a team beloved by another city. Its retarted!!!
One aspect is a corporation, the other is common sense. I just dont see who would want something in there town that they didnt ear. Indy didnt live through those memorys and earn them and go cheer for them every week. Frankly, i'd be embarrased if we were the Baltimore Brows with there records in our media guide. That would totally blow!!!
That deal was struck by the nfl with Cleveland. had nothing to do with baltimore.

It is actually 29-4...the author later corrected...missed a GB loss.

when Unitis' records are mentioned they always link them to Baltimore as they should because thats where the Colts franchise was when he played there... but the fact remains he was a "Colt"...

Yep..the argument he should appear in the Ravens press guide..yet never played a down for them does not make football sense.
Perhaps the nfl should start a new team.....players that used to play for a team...but they moved so they must now appear in movers press guide...The Mayflower Movers...They.re not booing they are saying MOOOOOOVERS...Is that D-Caf?

Im not saying they should be in the ravens press guide, im saying they shouldnt be in the INDIANAPOLIS COLTS.
And SCUBADOO, that was pretty funny. Those commercials are great.

Im thinking if the ravens score 10 points early and hold the colts down they win. i have a feeling the pats are gonna as well as the saints and lets be honest... who cares about the bears-seahawks game... both of those teams are in horrible condition... i mean the seahawks are just weak and the bears have a headless qb.

I have a feeling the game tonight will be close between Saints Philly . On paper, the two teams or close. Big problem with the Saints is that over half thier roster has zero playoff experience.
Brian Westbrook could have a big game. I beleive Philly will win as the Saints simply are too young and inexperienced. Future is bright for the Saints though.
If the Saints win....it will be based on a big game by Bush. My gut is telling me he will play well tonight...and may be the difference....just a hunch.
Should be good games this weekend.

Winner of the Saint Philly will represnet the nfc in the super bowl regardless of who the winner of this game will play ...Chicago/Seattle.
Should Grossman fail early the stadium willl turn against the Bears with booing, etc. The guy is a head case and does not have much talent as far as progressing through his reads, etc.
It is quite obvious if you bring heat and get in his head early he will choke. Should this happen, I wonder how long Lovie Smith will stick with him?
I agree....I got the feeling Chargers will not win. You need solid play from the QB postion in the playoffs and I see the inexpereinced Rivers struggling in the game. He will commit a key turnover or two and that will be the difference.
I would like to see the Colts win....but my head tells me there is just too much defense on the Ravens.
I like the Ravens to make it to the Super Bowl from the afc.
I am hoping Saints/Chargers in the SB as that will be a matchup of interest. Brees against his former team, Sants the new Amreca's Team and the classic underdog Rocky type situation. Top two MVP finishers would also be showcased. Makes for nice hype with plenty to talk about.
Also, I saw a piece on the nfl network where Reggie Bush as a high school senior actually interviewed Tomlinson about 4-5 years ago. I hope that makes some of the other networks. It was really interesting to see the high school Bush talking football with Tomlinson.

I am hoping that the SuperBowl is either Chargers/Colts vs. Saints. While I like all the match-ups if the Chargers get there, I can't help but root for the Colts. Manning, Dungy, Harrison, and company deserve to get there after all the criticism they get from everyone. They are too darn god not to be able to get to a SuperBowl.
Let's go Saints!!!

Would be nice to see the Colts make it. I have always thought young players at key postions make mistakes in the playoffs. Since the Saiints have so many young inexperienced players....I gotta stick with my beleif. I would love to see the saints in the Bowl since I am originally from NO.....but my head tells me they will not make it.
Even if they do not win a single playoff game this year, at least they have brought some good cheer to the gulf coast region.
Having grown up watching this team from 67 in old Tulane Stadium...to 1998 in the Superdome.....you expect them to fail. I keep trying to ignore history. I moved out west in 98. My family had season tickets when I was little and I continued on as an adult...never missing a season till I moved. The Saints have always meant the world to the community....friends and family tell me it has been mangnified since they have returned. Unless you have lived in the region...it's hard to explian this to folks.
Funny how this year has turned out....the team that many fans around the nfl world once laughed at...is now cheering for them based on circumstance.
Should they run the table....it will be one of the best sports stories in years. Heck, just making it this far is amazing based on how they finihed the 05 season.
I've been surprised all season long....I hope I'm surprised again tonight.
I wish like heck I was there in the Dome tonight.....they may blow the roof off that joint tonight should the Saints play well and win. I hear all this BS about the Seattle 12th man (rip off of Texas A&M)...but I refuse to beleive there is a LOUDER place to play a game in the nfl then the Superdome. A night time game means plenty fuel in the tank for the fans from tailgating all day........... It will be LOUD.

Pretty much agree with you Scub! Although the way you feel about the Saints and big games is the way us Beagle fans feel about the Beagles.
I'm just hoping for a good game! I will say that it was nice last week to see that Garcia could play like crap and they still won the game. Westbrook is the key. But I'm expecting Brown to step up along with Stallworth. IF the Eagles can hold the ball and the O-line plays the way they have been IT may keep the Saints O off the field.
I'm really going with the U-dogs. Colts, Hawks and Chargers. I think the Saints -Chargers would be the best bang for the SB buck also.
You just CAN'T beat the Saints story. I just hope that its not embarrassing for either team tonight!
Good Luck Scub!

Back atcha! I like Garcia and the way he has played down the stretch. I believe he is MORE deserving of a All-Pro nod than Romo....who proved to be nothing special over the last key games of the season. Garcia rose to the occassion and played excellent and at the Pro-Bowl level.
I agree with the win last week with Garcia not playing terriffic....but the Eagles are playing a better team this week and they are on the road. They will have to play much better then they did last week. Also, having Lito out in the secondary will hurt
Should the Eagles win, I'll be pulling for them the rest of the way in the nfc and hope they make the SB. I like the come back story of Garcia...a guy written off after two beat down seasons on horrible teams.
Win or lose it has been a great ride this year for the folks back home.
You wouldn't think sports could have this type impact on a community...but a SB trip would work wonders for lifting spirits back home.
It still is hard for me to beleive I am using the words Saints and Super Bowl in the same sentence...and there is no joke or punchline.
I beleive the Saints and Eagles are the two best teams in the nfc right now, which is why I beleive the winner of this game will make it to the SB.
I'm really not bothered if the Saints win and have to travel to Chicago should they win on Sun. Also, the Eagles will do well should they have to travel to Chicago....if they beat the Saints.

I agree! The pro-bowl seletions aren't made far enough into the season.
Lito is huge. It just kills what they do on Blitz packages. They won't be able to leave Hood in man to man and that hurts. If they do Bres will have a big day. Add to that they will have to worry about Reggie, who's going to look/watch for him?
I have no doubt what a SB would mean for your fair city. Would bring it back in to the minds eye of the rest of the country,. I'm sure that there is a lot more work to be done down there.
I'm not afraid of the Bears or the Hawks. It would be nice if it worked out that Philly got another home game.
I just think the Saints are outfitted better to battle the AFC. Not to say the Eagles couldn't surprise me b/c they already have.....
Talk to ya after the game! You watching the Colts/Ravens?

It is going to be real hard for the Ravens and their #1 defense to win the Superbowl after getting knocked off by the Colts......
Hey Baltimore, I bet you would like the Colts back......

Agreed!

Go Saints.
Looking foward to next week.....it could very well be another classic Patriots/Colts AFC Championship game at home in Indy.
Vinatieri kicks the winning field goal against his old team....

We can finally punch em in the mouth for sneaking out of Baltimore in the middle of the night in 1984. Then its off to San Diego for their ass whooping and that about it. The superbowl doesnt even need to be played cause whoever wins from the AFC is gonna dominate!!!

Whoops.
I think if you start a thread on this site saying that your team is gonna win, you're pretty much saying they're gonna get beat and that you're wrong.

Saints will represent the NFC in the Superbowl.......I don't think that Chicago or Seattle could beat them.
