I don't know what happened to the pats..but they did better with thier backup players vs denver.
They might as well just handed the ball to dever....o wait they did

Folks already made their predictions on the other playoff threads for this week.

Too many injuries this year ...the team with the best overall talent won.

I've pretty much stayed out of these play-off threads for one basic reason....ANY prediction is nothing more than a guess...some are better thought out than others...but the bottom line is nobody will know the outcome until AFTER the game is played...predictions are just that....and foolish statements that assure one team or the other is the BEST and WILL win are foolish spectulation...they play and we watch....you may like a team and you may support a team and you may BELIEVE a team will win....but its a little fool hardy to assume the outcome of something you DO NOT participate in personally.....

So...maybe now you can back off your precious PATS and sit back while folks with much more common sense and respect pick the winners of tomorrows games. All of your statements have been proven inaccurate so now just pull up a chair sit down and be quiet....serious folks are watching how the playoffs pan out...and I did not pick the Pats and personally I'm glad to see them out...but they did have a decent season so my hats off to them.

Carolina takes the bears tomorrow. Rex Grossman is a young inexpereinced QB who will feel the pressure from the nfl playoffs.
For the Bears to have a chance, their defense and/or special teams will have to put 14 points on the board.
Weather appears to be good so this should be a non-factor.
Any edge Chicago has on defense will be more than offset but thier inability to score points on offense against the Panthers.
Low scoring game favors the Bears.
A combination of talent and coaching wins in the playoffs. Even though Lovie won coach of the year...he won't be facing Detriot, Green Bay or the Vikings tomorrow.
The Bears will be a much better overall team next year. Based on the 2005 final regular season records, they will play the weakest schedule next year.
Yes, the Bears won the regular season matchup.....tough to beat a good football team twice in a season.
Bears need 3 TO's to have a chance...with the D scoring at least one TD off the TO's.
One and done for the Bears. Inexperience will be a key factor in the outcome.

#6 seed Pitt faces #1 seed Indy. Too much offense, defense and special teams for Pitt to overcome. Indy shuts down the running game and Big Ben throws 2 big interceptions.
Indy......Home field, well rested and ready for action. The COlts run away and step on the big Cowher lantern chin on their way to the afc championship.
Pitt.......simply stop the run and they are in trouble.
Could be a blowout.

Pats are out...good run for them...most ever (to date) consecutive playoff wins with 10...now its up to indy to have a 3 year run at it!!!
Go Bucs!!!
I mean Indy...Dooh...

Pats won all those games because they had the best talent/coaching in the nfl back then. THis year, they lost their coordinators plus many of their starters due to injury. IMO...the fact they did not even make it to the afc championship game this year was predictable at the beginning of the playoffs.
Just becuase you have some past accomplishments means little if you do not have the overall coaching/talent in the current year.
I wonder how many of these PATs are going to win the Superbowl were stating this when they were 4-4?

The officials just handed this game to Indy with that bu--sh-- call. That was clearly a pick and clearly there's some Indy bias within the NFL. If they win, this victory will always have an asterick.

Please review the rules...he rolled on the ground and he never stood up. With knee down the ball came lose...incomplete all the way. Actually the absoulute correct call.
If this was college it would have been an interception.
By rule you have to make a football move. If he lost the ball AFTER getting upwith knee off the ground it would have been a fumble. The correct intepretation of the rule was applied
