Afc the only teams needing mention are the pats and the Steelers. If Brady stays healthy it will come down to these two teams. I give the edge to the steelers those as the team didn't lose much and basically has the sme team as last year. Looking at the steelers schedule...if they don't go 15-1 they are playing like crap.
Dont forget the ravens. Flacco has gotten much better.

True, but with the losses and age to their defense, I don't see it evening out or making them contenders just yet...I give them the number 3 spot in the afc, but not quite ready to knock off a healthy patriots or Steeler team.

Yes Portis is getting up there in age. The skins keeping him healthy for the second half of the seaon is smart. He will be a 2 down back. He will get his carries and still run for over 1200 yards. He will still a force and teams will still have to play tough to keep him in check. He is has average about 1300 yards a season with the one season he got hurt in. He is still a great back.
You give 3/4 of the running backs the same number of carries with the rock and they will rack up those yards and then some. You are a dellusioned Redskins fan and your faith in Portis is misleading you. If you limit his carries who do you pass them to on the team? every other back on the team has a worse per carry yard average than portis. This means you get LESS yardage running the ball. Meaning the team doesn't move the ball as well.
So explain, how does portis carrying the ball less equal better for the redskins when the other backs are worse than Portis? If Portis isn't in the game, you don't have to crowd the line as a defense to try and stop him, so this hurts the passing game.....
Like I said, the redskins live and die by Portis, if he gets hurt, they are done...even a mild lingering injury....If he has his role reduced it hurts them as well...

I am far from a dellusional redskins fan. No the other backs wont. I will argue till I die Clinton Portis is one of the best backs in the game.
You do make good points, I cant argue them. His totals dropped second half of the season and the skins dropped more games. If he is on a roll Im sure the skins will keep him in. They wont run ever first and second down. This keeps the pass open. Most 3rd downs he will come in would be obvious pass situations anyway which he always come out for. Not much is changing. Just a few less carries.

With Dungy gone, I don't think the colts defense will be up to the task......they were marginal last year at best. besides the afc has some high powered offenses with defensive backing...colts will be lucky to make the playoffs.
