You should look into the par38 lamp.

seems tad bit expensive but you can use whatever regular socket lamp you want and it'll last much longer than PC's. If you're looking for the bluer look, go for the 20000k.

if you mount powerbrites close enough you would be hitting par values high enough to sustain softies and most lps but as for sps you would need to have some 3watter crees.
