These fish crush shells and eat the goodies, and nip at pretty much everything. Their natural diet is inverts and smaller fish. Even if they don't eat it, it is very likely that they will nip at starfish.

I have a green spotted puffer(Brackish) and he is doing good with my inverts.
I used to breed fw snails and feed them to my gsp's. It was pretty interesting.
I have a large coral banded shrimp and several tiny hermits(all bought here at SWF
) For three months and counting, my 7" lined puffer hasn't even looked at any of them. He loves his mussels and flakes and grazes the algae on the live rock continously. The puffer is big enough to eat whatever is in the tank, he chooses to live and let live.
I prefer to mow in straight lines by watching a fixed point on the other side of the yard. I do this going both ways.
That way you get the nice baseball field type pattern. And the lines are ALWAYS straighter.
