Nostalgia... Cause sometimes it's the little things.

Nice goni, Bryce. Looking at the last picture, I wonder if they're extended so far because they're trying to get closer to the light... as most of them are stretched in that direction. Just a theory...

They can be glued to live rock. But looking the skeleton it's very flat on the bottom and sits nicely on the sand bed.

And yes @pegasus My lighting in this tank is insufficient to say the least. I do think it stretches up in an attempt to get more light but I have also noticed the growth over the time I've had it has been pretty substantial. The tentacles not only have tripled in length but there looking at it regularly I've also noticed there are new little tentacles as well. The growth has been so extreme that I would have to consider it to be flourishing. I do have a new light arriving soon and will be moving this coral to my larger tank that I am making my "reef tank" So it will be under better lighting. I can only hope that it likes the move and continues to do well. I would like to frag this coral in another few months if it appears to be stable after the move. I'm just going to have to get rid of my clownfish in that tank. It's not interested in hosting with anything but it really likes to molest this particular goni. And the goni does not like it

I failed to mention that I had noticed the new growth. It looks very healthy, and quite beautiful. Once it goes into the new tank, acclimate it low and shaded and gradually work it into the light. If the light is stronger, it should be happier than it already is! Looking forward to watching that baby grow up!!!
