I am expecting an addition to my mini carpet tank so I was rearranging. In the process I happened to catch a couple splitting thought maybe some might enjoy these.
Water is a little cloudy for moving rocks.

Update couple hours later.

NEVER ENOUGH!!
I just sold off a boatload. I just ordered a red mini carpet, will be here tomorrow, I am excited yet a little nervous. Several people on another forum have lost reds, they are said to be cursed. I obvously don't buy into that phoey but I am not going to tempt fate so I am keeping my fingers crossed. It is comming all the way from CA. Shipping scares me, especially with anemones, you know the drill.

It arrived this morning at 9:30 AM.

Box opened

Acclimating, a lot of junk in the water, I will try to suck a little out. So far so good. (with my fingers crossed)

It is extremely contracted but it is tiny, best guess is just ove an inch. Here it is in the tank.

Update on yesterday's split.

I would only worry that they might eat fish that perch sit on them unknowingly such as small gobies or blennys. I have always kept clowns with them, no problems.

This is the new mini tonight just before lights out. The mouth has closed which is good but it is still rather bunched up. Maybe tomorrow it will open up more.

They are all Stichodactyla tapetum, mini carpet anemones. Just different colorations. I hope this new red is as hardy and splits as often. It seems a little fussier. definately not as bubbly. When it opens all the way you will be able to see a tantacle pattern that is very distinct in these minis.

Opened a little more afterwards, you can see a little of it's tentacle pattern too.
