I only know of three Peppermint Shrimp species. The Lysmata wurdemanni you were referring to lives in the Gulf and the Atlantic but is mostly found in the Carribean.
The Lysmata californica is a temperate water Shrimp and will only last a month or so at reef temperatures.
The Lysmata prima is from Japan and common on the West Coast.
There is no problem mixing any of the Lysmata species if they are all of similar size. If you put a juvenile in with an adult it might get eaten though.
