Guess I was posting the same time as you.
I was'nt so much worried that it was low but I was more worried that it would continue to drop!!!
I have ordered the calcium test (hopefully it will be here soon)
The PH is back up. It's low was 8.04 but after the water change and addition of the power head in the fuge it is back up to 8.17
which is where it had been stable for a while. So in the world of stability was that a very big drop or is that pretty much "stable"
I haven't done an Alkalinity test since I noticed it dropped from 3.5 to 2.5 on sunday and did the water change. The only reason I know the PH is because of the PH probe. In retrospect I'm wondering if that was a good investemnt. Maybe always knowing your PH is on the same level as watching a pot boil. More stress then it is good.
I am hoping that when the PH came up the ALK did to. In an effort as to not stress to often I've decided to wait until my next water change to test again.
