No, I am talking about starting Bret Favre with Matt Ryan as a back up over Colt Brennan with Trent Green as a back up

Agreed... but why sit at home... if they are democrats they should vote that way... otherwise at least vote for someone... these are the same people who will complain if McCain wins and continues to take the country in the wrong direction.
Yes, I'm sure they will be the first to jump on the band wagon when something negative is said about McCain. But being dems, they won't vote Repub, and they don't trust Obama so they won't vote straight Democratic. But it was their party that lofted him up to this point so there is no out, in their case. My point being that there may be many others like this, so I don't rely heavily on polls.

I can't either... I'm a Canadian with a Green Card.
But also... having to choose between the lesser of 2 evils is really no choice at all.
If I ever get the opportunity to vote, I want to vote for the person I want to be president..... not vote for one that I don't care for to try and prevent the one I REALLY dislike from getting in. If there was a "please provide another choice of candidates" box, I would vote in a heart beat (if I was a citizen).
I guess we can hope they have some good puppeteers.

Apparently Micky Mouse gets a lot of votes every year.

That year he had Goofy as his VP was not a good turn out for the Disney party .

It wasn't as bad as when he had Donald was his running mate the election before. He could never speak correctly and then would throw a tantrum....their only saving grace that election was Ross Perot had the same problem that year....

Obama is short on experience, so you just can't throw stones at Palin for "lack of experience". At least whatever experience she has it is executive, that required decision-making and being in charge.
Frankly, spending a lifetime in Congress is not exactly what I would consider great experience either. I say Palin for president!

I wouldn't worry about it tooo much, his mom is what 95 years old or something.
I wonder what would happen if the republicans would run around saying Biden the winner of 1 percent of the vote in New Hampshire a candidate that no one wanted for president is one bullet way from the presidency.

In all seriousness this oh McCain might die argument is silly.

Greetings...
What I find interesting is that there is so much talk about the VP choice from the standpoint of "if something happens to the president". If you look back through history, how often has this really happened (at least in modern times)? The odds are pretty slim...
On top of that, the power of the president is limited, and rightfully so, by all of the checks and balances. Without approval from congress, no one person can make the kind of drastic changes that would legitimize the "oh my god - he'll (she'll) lead us to the brink of despair" arguments a lot of people seem to use when discussing political choices.
My two cents (and I am a Republican that will cross party lines to choose the best candidate for an office):
Obama - young, intelligent, charismatic, eloquent speaker. But, I think he is too young to make the tough choices, would need to follow the advice of the his supporting cast (instead of leading them), talks a good game but has few ideas of how to implement them and has an incredible lack of experience for a job this important. However, I think he has more than a reasonable chance of winning the election based on popularity. It's unfortunate, but too many in our country vote based on appearance and perception instead of taking the time to study the choices and make informed decisions.
McCain - not so young, intelligent, not so charismatic, not so eloquent when speaking. But, he has the moral fortitude, strength of character, experience and understanding of how things work politically to get a fair number of his agenda items approved and in place to drive some change. I'll be voting for McCain and Palin...
Respectfully...
