A child is born in Boston, Massachusetts to parents who were both born in Boston, Massachusetts. The child is not a United States citizen. How is this possible?

Ok -- the answer is he was born before 1776. I had to make sure Boston was a city not only before 1776 but long enough to give the parents time to have kids. Well Boston was established in like 1620 so they could've had a bunch of greats grandkids even.
Another example is a child who's parents were foreigners who worked in their county's embassy or mission in Boston and rejected citizenship for their child. Of course both parents would have had to have been born under the same circumstances. If one were a citizen then the child would automatically be a US citizen.
