O.T. What other pets do you all have?

Forgot about the muddy feet! UGH!! I used to have FIVE Danes, and I walked all of them at the same time routinely until one day they decided enmass to chase a little yapping dog that was no bigger than my shoe. I'm no match to 5 lunging barking Danes! That was the end of dog walks! I have alot of land though, so the dogs run loose on the property and pretty much keep pace with me when I'm exercising the horses.
So...no slobbery drool, huh? How do you manage to avoid that? Mine get drool strands extending a foot from their mouth and when they shake their head to be rid of it, it either wraps around their muzzle (cute) or goes flying onto everything. It's actually quite gross!

I had to look for a few minutes, but I spotted him/her/it! Couldn't have told you what kind it is, but the face is unmistakably snake! We have lots of snakes here, but haven't ever kept one as a pet! I probably shouldn't ask this, but what do you feed this fella?

I took both dogs on a walk once and Gracie saw a newspaper blowing in the wind and it totally freaked her out. She goes bolting down the sidewalk trying to take my arm out.
I dont know how we avoid the slobber but it is not so bad. I did have to start feeding them outside. Gracie loves to use Skipper as a play toy it is funny. And a couple of times I caught her in my freaking bed. Trying to wake that dog up to get her to move is really hard. Lucy the little dane is a rescue dog and it just the best ever she never does anything wrong.
The tail, you have to get out of the way of that thing. Sean got poped with it a couple of time OuCH.

Hmmm...feeding outside....hmmm....not a bad idea!
The reason I had so many danes is because I formerly worked closely with the Great Dane Rescue in my area. I have learned the fine art of DELEGATING the load and therefore no longer have mass quantities of them!
The tail is a real killer! No doubt about that one!
Funny, once a dane is asleep it takes an act of God to get them back up again! Mine like to sleep right in front of the fireplace where it is toasty. Takes a crowbar to move 'em!

I have a 4 yr old Japanese Akita. I would never own another type dog. She is remarkable. A little to protective but you get used to it. She is great with my 5 yr old daughter. If anyone is interested in owning one, install a central vacuum system in your house, YOU WILL NEED IT.
