clown take it easy you cant have an octo. Do you have a tank thats been cycled for three months? Is it completely sealed off? Do you know ANYTHING about ceph's? If so, what species are you interested in? Bimacs need atleast 55 gallons agouit. They live up to a year. Don't buy from a petstore or an online store. Buy from a breeder and know the species you want. Don't ever buy anything labeled octopus or common octopus or dwarf octopus. You should know what you are getting so that you can have a better idea on how to care for it.

There are several sites that sell them for $25 and thats without "knowing somebody" Thats for the mercatoris by the way. Also, I have read your other posts and you had one complaining of an algae bloom which means your water isnt clean enough for an octo. Also saw one that said you saw a tesselata eel and were going to get it. Your tank cant handle that either because its too small. You just aren't doing your research first and there isn't any nice way to say it. This is the type of hobby where if you jump in first ask questions later you lose fish and money. Take your time and things will go much easier. I have been setting up this tank for 6 months and still havent bought an octo yet because I know I'm not ready. Im not being rude but I hate when people think there is a shortcut just because they really want itttttt.

I wouldn't recommend any because you shouldn't get one. As for the eel, if it was labeled zebra why would you post saying you were getting a tesselata? And it wasn't full grown if you think it would be ok in your 29. Don't be the type of person who gets an octopus because they want it. They need to be fed live food daily. They demand alot of attention that to be honest I dont think you are ready to give. I suggest you work your way up and if you are still interested in one down the road than you get it. Just my 2 cents. I know it doesn't matter what I say because you will get one anyway and when it dies your excuse will probably be the same as every one elses who makes that mistake. Well they only live 6 months so I probably got it when it was old.

Sorry I gotta chime in here. As the owner of two diffrent types of Cephs,I have a few questions for you? What type of filtration are you currently running? How big of a skimmer can you afford to buy (double the size of your tank at least)? You mentioned it was a reef tank, what type of lighting do you have?
Do not,I repeat DO NOT,order from any website that labels them "common",Atlantic","Dwarf","brown",those are labels that sites use when they're not sure what they're sending you.
When properly cared for, cephs are an entertaining and very personable member of the family.

Didn't mean any disrespect. Was only trying to help. There's very limited info on this site about cephs and I was just trying to prevent someone from making a mistake. The link I posted was for info only-NOT to make a purchase.
Again,my apologies
