Well its been about 30 minutes and my Condys slowly expanding. Any ideas what could've caused the shrinkage? I really didn't need the heart attack!!!

Thanks. He's still not back to full size but he's Alot bigger than earlier. Not to be a pain but,you mentioned several reasons-what are they? It really did look BAD.

Nighttime, water change, waste excretion, harassment, photosynthetic saturation, even feeding can trigger a shrinking.

Hmmm. Well Im hoping it was waste excretion. Wasn't nighttime, did a water change 2 days ago,my clown keeps EVERYBODY away, fed him yesterday. What is photosynthetic saturation?

Photosynthetic saturation means that the anemone has gotten plenty..basically too much light, and needs to process it as food, while not taking in any more.

I mean the Anemone expels its water and takes fresh water back in. They don't have kidneys to eliminate metabolic toxins so they just do a massive waterchange within their body.

I see. Thanks for the info.
Im not sure thats why he did it,Im on the lower end of the wattage scale (260). BTW-He's back to full size,it may be wishful thinking but,I think his tips are even "tanner" then before he shrank. :cheer:

Thanks alot-really had me worried for a bit.
Im thinking about adding another Atlantic. A LFS has a real nice looking one with really sharp purple spots at its tips. Am I able to have two in a 55 gal?
