Heres a couple pic of my Odyssea lights and the tank with them on.

. I will show some pics tomorrow with the halides on, even my BTA moved to the top of the tank to get closer to the light. The ballast is so dang big lol its a joke
. I am trying to light acclimate my corals now I am running the actinics from 12noon-9pm and the halides 5pm-8pm then next week I will increase by 1 hour and so on until the halides come on at 1pm :joy: Then I can get my SPS

I thought about ordering these too, but the shipping alone was like $100. I guess that HUGE ballast is why. Ha!

how long so you plan on running your halides per day

12-9 actinics 1pm-8pm halides so 7 hours per day I don't want to make an algea carpet for my tank right now so i'm slowly acclimating my light ***)

Is that 7 hrs going to be once u finish acclimating or just for now

I got the same light Friday. So far it`s great. I want to put timers on light don`t know if you can with all the cords.

I know there is going to be some alga grwoth because of the tnak getting use to the new lights but that should go away within a few weeks right?

i ordered the same lights this week! 2006 model 2 x 175 watt MH and 2 x 96 watt PC and 6 LED moonlights. I should get mine either the end of this week or early next week. OMG i had no idea how big that ballast was! But oh well, i can put it under my stand. Im so excited!

Those bulbs are extremely hard to find. There only two places Ive found that carry 175 watt HQI bulbs (superfishstore and Aquatraders). Theres probably more but I couldnt find the 175 HQI anywhere but there. One only has 10000k and the other has them in 10000k and 20000k. I got the 20000 and I really like the look they gave my tank.

mine come wendsday!! cant wait..hey BTW did anyone use these lights and put a UV screen under them or do theydcome with it? i know their is a piece of glass under the HQI bulb but is it U.V protectant?

thanks so much, that really helped me out! That aqua place is apparently having a big sale, they are like $20 a bulb! Anyways, thanks again!
