glad i dont have to deal with snow.
the weather here is pretty bad though, ive experienced 150+ heat in aug, now its rainy and dropping below 30 at night. the weather in iraq sucks.

We have about a foot at my house and the high winds are blowing it in large snow banks next to our back door. The street i live on is never plowed and my brother and i spun out of control into a snow bank.

frogz, it's over rated. Looks wise, it can actually be a beautiful sight, but that's about it. You are stuck indoors for months at a time, your car and life are constantly in danger every time you drive, every first snow there are twenty accidents in every town because of peoples cars sliding, if you car does make it, it will be eaten away and rusted by the salt they put all over the roads...salt water and metal don't mix well, and when it done, the frozen water in the road will have created ten inch holes to ruin your suspension. Snow sucks.....born and raised in Ohio, trust me. After they plow it off the roads, it is a BLACK, yes black, mess all beside the roads. There have been times I have had to come in and run COLD water over my hands to thaw them, and it actually feels warm. The stinging you would feel from warm water would drop you to your knees.....cold weather sucks....give me some palm trees!!!:help:

Well aren't you all stick in the muds...I couldn't live without snow if for no reason than to ski. If you haven't tried skiing or snowboarding, you all should take a trip to the somewhere in either colorado, utah, or even idaho and go skiing for a week. I can guarantee you won't be dissapointed. In conclusion to this post, SNOW IS AWESOME

You know, the last time I was in Aspen, there was snow everywhere, but I walked around in just a t-shirt most of the time....doesn't work that way here at all.
I think other factors apply...altitude perhaps? I see people skiing for periods of time with their face exposed, but there are times here, even in Cleveland, that within a few minutes, on the really bad days, your fingers will be frost bitten, turn black, and need to be amputated. I have wondered since that time in Aspen why I could walk around in a shirt without trouble?? Any thoughts as to why? I did the same things at several locations in the Rocky mountains....it just doesn't seem cold even though there is snow????

Thank god we didn't get it!! I live in Upstate, NY right off Lake Ontario, usually we get hammered by lake effect but nothing yet, luckily the latest monster came from the south and we were too far north!! No need to worry though I'm sure we'll "get ours" soon, LOL. Have fun, NOT!!!

Sometimes I miss the snow, but most of the time I do not. It was almost 70 here yesterday. To bad today will only be in the low 60's.

Let me just say......... California Rocks!!!! I was born there and spent almost half my life there...... the only thing that sucks is, like, when it rains in "winter" the rain is like, ice cold and I like it, like, hot!:sneaky:
And yes, I am like so totally a valley girl!:cheer:
Like, go me!

I am with you Sammy. St. Louis is a god forsaken mess in the winter. Yes, it looks pretty for a nano second, then the plows come through followed by the ice trucks followed my the frozen SLOP! I won't even start on the ICE storms we get when the get stream rises a tad. I think you don't get too cold in Colorado due to the dryness of the air. You and I get WINDCHILL....so much dampenss in the air that it makes it colder. Same is true in the summer. When we visit my cousin in the Vegas area it was 115 degress one day. Seemed like a normal 95 degress in St. louis. DRY air. Like I said in my first post, I dream of roasting all year long one day. And palm trees too!!

Marco, can I jump in? or is there ice under the snow in the pool?
I love snow. I moved about 4.5 hours north from where I grew up, we get snow here about once a year. Which is good enough for me, though last year I was at home, not at school so I missed the snow. I get to play and have fun (might even get a day off of school), but don't have deal with for too long.
