i have to agree with journeyman, that instead of trying to setup a new tank here, we should figure out what happened with this one. i also agree with you, sweetie, that people should not come on here to tell you to get out of the hobby... you admitted that you knew it was a mistake, so pointing it out over and over again won't do anything... i don't understand some people somtimes, but that's besides the point. you want to be in the hobby, and there's nothing we can say that'll change it, so instead of being so negative, maybe we can put that effort into something a little more productive.
we do need to know your sg.
i agree, even a 55g is too small for an eel. You could get a convict blenny / engineer goby (weird cause it's the same fish, and it's not a blenny or a goby...) I have one, and it reminds me very much of an eel, but the mouth is more rounded than an eel. He's wickedly cool and is about 8" right now. I was told they get about 14" or so. He's so cool to wach... he acts like my ywg, where he'll sit in his little hole, slither out to get food, and then swim backwards into his hole.
first and foremost, we need to get to the root of the problem with this past tank before moving on to another bigger one. did you ever use any medication? How old were the fish that died? did you recently introduce a new one? was anyone at your house while you were gone?
