YEA all we have to do is wait till the seal drys. Do a leak test and we are off.
I never said I was neat with the sealant but it works. Baffles 1 1/2" apart and 1" off bottom. I tell you what the eggcrate VERY easy to work with! Here is a few pics of her drying.
ok having troble with uploading pics?? The forum look different??

The two fuge baffles should be the same height i think, thats why your tank has so many different levels of water going on.

I was told by a few to have the baffle shorter on one side (the sump side), I took water out of the sump side to drop the level so you could see the flow better. if I fill it it does level out. here is that pic.

The 1 1/2 gap between plates & 1in gap at bottom of plates are plenty for flow rates.
The glass baffle plates are high enough for deep sand bed containment & the extra eggcrate will contain chaeto if added.
Looks good.
Only thought comes to mind is the pump flow rate. Will the angle plate hold up to flow coming from overflow? Is the silicone going to offer enough strength support to secure eggcrate to glass plate over time vs flow. I guess positioning where flow hits glass plate will dictate the support.
I think you're on target...

looks really good! better then my 1st sump thats for sure lol. but what you could do if that slanted thing dosent work out is a filter sock. and then the water would come in already submerged and you wouldent hear any splashing
