lets here some wierd things we do that would rais eyebrows of other people.
i'll go first: getting all exited and paying 4-12$/lb of bactearia infested rocks. whos next?

Paying anywhere between $10-200 for a single fish/invert/coral... and thinking that the price is reasonable. :thinking:

That or being the guy who has to say --- No - just two shrimp not two pounds of shrimp .... yeah - it is for my fish ... yeah I know - I'm the last of the big spenders!!

trying to grow certain types of algae ?? only hobby i know of that can get you infections.. which i think i just got me another one

Ha! That happened to me when I went in to Walmart for 1 shrimp to cycle my tank. She wound up giving it to me for free because it wouldn't register on the scale. :D

Telling my mom I need to buy a mini tank to put on the back of my regular tank for 100 bucks. That or buying worms and pods on the internet...

Yep and the next exciting step is watching rocks with a magnifying glass trying to find signs of life. And then getting really excited when you do.
Raising, pods, worms and snails in their own tank so you can keep the supply up in the display tank.

My addition. Going all over town and searching all the home depots within 100's of miles trying to find the correct sand for our tanks. You know the one that says right on the bag "not fit for aquarium usage".

Trying to explain to your boss why you need to run home for about 2- hours after the UPS guy shows up.
and then going into the boss' office two weeks later to have the exact same conversation.

staring at the live rock cycle day after day, losing track of time, and everyday i hear a voice from the couch say "its still just a rock....theres not even a fish in there!!!"
or hear her say "why do we need 5 fish tanks in the living room?"

spending some good old quality time with your tank turning out all the lights but the tank and zoneing for a few hours and geting mad at the girl friend for walking in front of it:D :D
if any thing get her more mad it wold be that i spend more quality time on my tank then her :eek: :eek:
 
how about frantically looking through the crevices of LR with a flashlight (from outside the tank of course) for that jumper you think may have taken a carpet dive?:)
