I still stand by what I said before. I feel its a ploy to keep us from thinking about the sad shape this country is in. Economy in the tank!, moral decline, corporate fraud rampant.
So what better diversion than to talk war and just stand back and wait for a reason to go in. The inspectors have found nothing, nor do I think they will. Our President needs a way to get reelected, and war is the best avenue. Trade body bags for votes, how nice!
I'm not sure the difference between Saddam and George W.? someone enlighten me!! And I don't want the standard Republican spin nor the news media angle, someone really explain this..

Well I am sure that if you asked Saddam if he used cocaine in college he could at least give an answer(better than george). On the flip side if you asked george if he had killed anybody with chem warfare he could say no(better than saddam) If you asked saddam if he had his daddy get him into the "Champaigne Squadron" during vietnam he would say no(better than George) but if you asked George if he had mad plans of ruling the middle east and killing every kurd, kuwaiti, and iranian he would say no(better than Saddam). Listen Saddam is an insane madman, but he is keeping it with in his borders so I don't care. Hell if we pulled out all of our troops I still don't think he would move on his neighbors because he knows how quick we can be there(Global Reach, Global Power baby) George Bush however is not evil, just a bit of a pawn.

What is he going to do mail us a bomb? There is no proof he has supported terrorist(at least no more than Saudi). I agree he is a bad person(to his people) I think if there is an afterlife he will be burning....but so will all of the chinese leadership from 1951-present, but we are not invading them(sorry way off topic), and so will rumsfeld for encouraging Saddam(not debatable they have film footage of the him chilling with Saddam and holding quaint conversation in the 80's) If those are all the reasons we can think of to invade Iraq and we lose thousands of American lifes, and slaughter thousands of Iraqi's then yes Bush is as bad as Saddam. If we use words not violence(because it will just come right back at us in the long run) then Bush should be considered a statesman, and a patriot. If we attack with no evidence then he should be considered reckless and a nationlist(just the same as Saddam), and if I hear one more person say "Well the Government has more evidence then they are letting on" I am going to puke. If they had something they would release it because in case you don't know how to read, the favoritable polls in America and especially in England are falling fast.

I have taken on the role of finding some information on the "War on Terrorism". I am not a member of this party but it is some interesting reading and opens a side that many people don't hear about. I thought I would hook up some links. You can look or not. I truly feel we are barking up the wrong tree with Saddam.
I also feel that our military personnel are under appreciated. This is a profession where they have no choice in what happens to them. They are "assigned" to areas of the world that they may not have known exsited when they joined for another reason.
I wish all of our soldiers the best and thanks for doing what you do.
I hope we start to take N. Korea a little more seriously, and not keep trying to find something that may not be in Iraq. So far they have not had any infractions and the inspectors are all trained to find the smoking gun.

We supplied money to afghan rebel fighters(bin laden) this little enemy of Iran(Iraq) Oh yeah and now we support what ever local war lord is on our "Side" in Afghanistan, not to mention that we support the hell out of the israelis, and they ignore just as many UN resolutions as the Iraqis. vitrually every aspect in our lives is affected by oil. Think of how many things in your daily life use power, or some form of energy that ultimately comes from oil. Think of all the products you consume, how did they get here, how was the food grown, how was your coral and live rock harvested, how did it ship, ect. ect. ect.
Oil makes the world go round.
Oil is of interest to the world and our country. War on terror, saddam is evil, saddam gave money to joe ---- the rag man, blah blah blah. OIL is why we are going to war.
All i ask for is a straight to the point no bs answer.
I'm so sick of the govt trying to be politically correct. Lets just call a spade a spade, wipe them off the face of the earth and go about our daily business.
one other question i have that is OT. Everyone keeps saying theres no smoking gun, nothing discovered.... Is the US/UN busting sadams balls because the reports they released DID NOT state what happened to all their weapons of mass destruction? Meaning, they had them, but didnt say what happened to them in that report? just so i'm clear. so the fact that there is no smoking gun is really besides the point if there stressing him because he cant explain where they all went. Also, do people realize how difficult it would be to find chemicles ect in a country the size of iraq in just a few months? they could be anywhere. If anyone has more info i'd appreciate it.

Oil is secondary here guys !!! The UN found WARHEADS !!! Again,........ they have FOUND warheads. Now what was in them is classified, but the warheads (when found) were empty yet had traces of *insert classified information here*. Sorry I can't tell you but let's just say that a couple of buddies are have begun DAILY MOP level 3 drills. For those that don't know what MOP level 3 is, lets just say you put on about 10 trashbags over EVERy inch of your body, 2 gas masks, a pissed inside your suit. Get the point ?

My son left for "fill in sandy country name here". He's 3rd MAW. They've got 250 Marines on an United Airlines flight, landed in Germany yesterday. On takeoff the plane blew 2 tires and they had to circle around and do emergency landing. He said it was a lot of Marines told to put their heads down into crash landing position ( I think that's the kiss you ass goodbye position). Ambulences, police the works waiting for them to land.They landed OK, then went to hotels and hit the bar. Today they fixed the plane took off again and didn't realize that a piece of metal had shot into the plane, so another emergency landing. Crap he isn't even there yet and he's almost been killed twice. United flew another plane over there for them sometime today. The good news is he says Frankfurt looks beautiful from all the low flying he's been doing around it
better news is he's OK and expected to make it to the potential war zone alive. As if I wasn't worried enough

Let's remember that we could always be on the other side of the coin. Most countries consider our ways of capitalism, egotistic-selfish-filled with greed. Money makes the world go round not oil. We have several other sources of energy that can be used it the oil mongers would back off and start using something we have a never ending supply of-corn.
Again I am not in support of terrorism but for anyone to suggest that we wipe anyone off of the face of the earth-many said that about the Jews-and many were.

And to clarify....I am AGAINST the draft as well. When I'm in my fighting hole cleaning the sand from my weapon, I want someone that is ready to send rounds down range, not someone like you complaining about "I'm tired" or "I wish I could go home". I would personally make sure you left with a Purple Heart !!!

War ALWAYS has been about power and always will be about power. Nothing else. Resources, religion, real estate, money all equal power. I like living in the country with the ability to have the most power. We can argue we want their oil, that they are a threat to us, whatever we want to argue. None of it matters. The only thing that matters is that we remain the country with the most power. That is the only way that another country will not be able to come here and take our resources etc and have power over us.

Thought I would put my small peace in, I am in the Air Force and I work with bombs, I am going to leave on the 6th of march to go over there, but they are saying that by march we will be in war. I am fine with this, Im glad to do my part, but it makes me sick to see anti-war protests, its not about oil, its about life as we know it, what would happen if they got some nukes, then we would be in a world of hurt. All I am saying is this Air Force life is not an easy one, it is so hard to leave wife and kids for 3 months or 6 months, we don't do it for the fun of it, all we need is support. and some one to take good care of our tanks while we are gone.
