Well, it is very cold here in Ga. However, I am not claiming it is very extreme compared to other parts of the county. Nevertheless, it is cold.
I am going to have to disagree with you pretty severely though waterwolf. I'd back off times just a hair there partner. I have family in Washington, spent much time there. Yes it does have harsh winters, you are correct. I have also spent much time skiing right above you at Whistler/ Blackcomb in Canada. It is colder up there. Now, I was born in New York, so I know cold there. And I have also lived in England. London to be precise. I take it you haven't becaue you're under the impression that all they have is fog. Well, I apologize for putting you on the spot, but England has some extraordinarily harsh weather. That fog can roll off the Thames river and in a matter of seconds you can be caught in the worst rain stoms you have ever seen. And if you compound that with the brutal cold of English winters, you aren't enjoying yourself. On top of that, the ice that often forms there can be rather intimidating to explore. Oh, on top of that... you mentioned England's highest rainfall. You do realize, that you are taking a state (Washington) and comparing its average rainfall with a COUNTRY (England). It might give you a better impression of their precipitation if you take one of England's regions, or large cities. Because, their average rainfall as a country is found by taking the average rainfall in every city and region. I am sure you took all this into account though before giving times such a hard time. Check out the weather channel some time. When they do their global minute, when they get to England, they often mention how it is notorious for its weather. Hey, that's just what I experienced when living there. It could have changed though.
