Skiing. Boots last 2 to 3 years at the MOST, at 500 bux a pair. Skis last 1 season at 500+ a pair. Poles, I go through a couple pairs each season at 60+ a pair. Gloves, coats and pants last 1 to 2 seasons at (accumulated) 300+ every year. Then there are goggles and glasses. Both have to be polarized, and they both get cracked, broken and lost every season. At least another 300+ every year. Lift Tickets = 1000 for the season pass plus any parks not included in the pass. Then, beer at the end of every day on the mountain. Priceless. What does that add up too? at least 2 grand a season. But oh, so worth it.

drinking is my hobby (I can't wait to grow out of it)...you have to consider all the bar tabs, then the bar food and then the gym memberships to ensure I don't get a beer belly. If I get a beer belly no more free drinks. Cab money too....and other hidden costs like diner food at 3am

Fishing costs a lot of money.
I'm lucky to get on the water 1x/week. Gas, insurance, maintenance, ramp fees, lot fees, registration, etc.
This weekend I fished the east coast in a 32' boat. We filled the boat up with 140 gallons. Very expensive. Oh yeah and we only caught one wahoo, one dolphin, and 2 barracuda.

I totally agree!
Braces alone have a price tag of about $5000.00 give or take a few hundred. I told my daughter she has the engine and transmission for my Camaro wired to her teeth right now.

Throw in band for her and sports for the boy its non-stop $$$ and running around.

Ohhh, yeah...that's another, for me too.
I found some calculator, online, the other day.
You imput how many years you've been drinking, how many times per week you go out, how many drinks you drink when you go out...all on average, of course.
My total was like 19,550 (+/-) drinks...and a bar tab total of $90,000 (+/-).
I know what you mean with the beer belly too. I just turned 27 and it seems like my 4 month pregnancy has sprung out of nowhere. Thank God I have a high metabolism and I rock climb/hike, etc. often.
