it happens some times, unfortunately cleaner shrimp get territorial and will kill the other one.
especially in a smaller tank where they don't have room to get away from each other.
Did you ever end up adding more lights, my lights go in my 8 gallon hood today once they come and i'm done with classes for the day 54 watts for 7 gallons probably will add another 18 watt i'll add pics to my thread and pm me if you have any questions on where to get lights and such.

thx Michael! I haven't decided yet to add more or not. This tank will eventually go into my son's room so I am debating. I spent the weekend fragging some "mean green" zoas (if thats the real name?). And will do the mushroom frags this weekend. So far so good!! Might have to start selling..put your orders in now!!

nothing new but the fragging, going to frag the shrooms this weekend. Right now just trying to find the best feeding schedule for Bob and his buddies.
Anyone have a preferred food for the Rainford Goby??

Sorry bout that, just did a quick bit of research on them. It seems that they generally feed on small crustaceans and algae in the ocean. So I am thinking maybe formula 2. Of course a homemade food would be great too. It is something that I have been meaning to start doing.

hey Fcatch! man i need your help.
what blenny is good to eat hair algea?
IN the beginning my lawnmower did the trick, then emerald crabs. I still get some every now and then but I use a tube to suck it out during water changes. Use the tube and your fingers to pull it off, kinda hard to describe.
HTH

Nissan your sixline will probably kill the crabs. Best advice is to get 2 mexican turbos and put them directly on the hair algae. Other than that is up to YOU to get it out, sucks I know.
