I got it all out and did a long clean up of the entire 125 gallons of SW on my floor.

I ask the LFS to check prices on a replacement tank he found one and my LFS made me 1 hell of a deal, after a night to sleep on it and some good advice from here, I bought a brand NEW AGA 125.

The Old tank did not have any mid bracing on bottem and one on top , whill the new one looks much more sturdy with two braces on top and bottem.
I am all most done with the fixing the stand, got my light defuser panels than need to be cut (any tips ?) to size and placed in the tank before I add the Live rock then live sand.
I love this hobby

Why does this always happen in the wee hours of the morning! My 29 reef did this 2 weeks ago! What a freekin mess! But it did let me do some new aquascaping on the new tank it its steller now! The best of luck! Looks great so far!

Oh Ya forgot about that positive too! I had some nasty sratches on the old tank from those newbie days! Unless I cleaned it every day I got these nice long green lines where algae grew in.

I know what you mean, it had alot of sratches aswell being a used tank and all. You want to replace your tank, first get all the things you want to fix or upgrade, Before you get the tank. It helps to have it planned out, compared to busted tank all at once.

I got the tank up. Placed the top with the vial on it and cut the light defuser, put it in the tank.

Now time to fill it half way with water and salt, as I do not have enough water now to fill it. I will add the LR then LS , tomorrow or the day after.

Things seem to be going smoothly. I hope it stays that way. More pics soon.

Upon close insection of the stand and tank I found a 1 / 16 th of an inch space between them, ran a piece of paper under the tank and folded it till it could not fit.measured 1/16th.
Will this be a problem ???

Tank and the stand. I took alot of steps to get it smooth , plane-ed, shaved, sanded, and leveled (3 foot level should have used a 6 foot )all sections but was unable to get a perfect seat.
When I check the back its good the sides aswell ,just the front from 3" corner to 3 "corner , I could flip it soo the sticker is up front.
Not sure if I should keep on going and fill it up or redo the stand/top sheet ?

I got the stand level and gaps are within 1 millameter between the stand and tank.

Got the light defuser in, some water 1/2 full and live rock to begin the aqua scape, slow and steady dont want to scratch the glass. I am having some trouble making the cave, but i am sure it will work out.
I will post a pic when done. Thanks meowzer !!
