You also have the actinics so 10000K might be perfect.
yes it seems like they did their homework in coming up with this set up
are the bulbs for the halogens not touchable like the MH's?
yes same handling procedures

The comment about HQI emitting less heat is true but misleading. The ambient heat from a bulb only adds a tiny amount of heat to an aquarium. It's the light energy itself that add the heat. HQI typically produce more light so as a result they are going to add more heat to the water. The bulbs could be 200 below zero but if it's pumping 2000 PPFD of photon energy to the tank it's going to heat up the water.
Bang this is why we need you to stick around even with your down sizing

Not really, the tank compliment was genuine! I get the same thing when ever my oldest kid is here, she rides me non-stop about my lack of success with her favorite fish, porcupine puffers. I told her my spiny box is just a morph of the porky, but she doesn't buy it. BTW, LA has RGs on sale this week!

I have a yellow tang that hides more often than not. It was my first fish once i removed my lion and started the reef. He won't let anybody within 10' of the tank or he goes behind the rocks. Ive had him for 4-5 months now. my mandarin is always out and about. I noticed that in everyones pictures thier yellows are allways camera hogs. I don't get it.
