It has been my experience that Yellow Tangs stay pale when;
1 - They are sleeping
2 - They are severly stressed
Is there anything in your tank stressing it?

gotta make sure youre feeding it both seaweed AND lettuce. i think they can also eat brocolli :D . they need lots of vitamin C, especially when theyre young.

A couple of thoughts :
1) You list 2 tangs in you sig. This could be causing the stress Bang Guy referred to.
2) I didn't see the size of your tank, tangs can quickly out grow a smaller tank, they need lots of room. This can also add to stress.

I have two yellow tangs also and they turned pale I have feed them all that they need including calerpa and still no color I placed a ground probe in my tank just in case of stray voltage. I have also posted on other forums and had no successful replies but was told that if they have no stress they lose color because alot of saltwater fish get darker or brighter when stressed

If you have two Yellows I believe you'll see one color up to the natural color if your remove one of the Tangs. Your tank is not an ideal place for a pair of Tangs... sorry.

sometimes if there's a electical current ( not a strong one) it can effect the colour of your fish
