PAR/Lumen Difference of 20k and 14k

Bulb replacement time for me is right around the corner. I kind of want to switch to a 20k bulb to see the color difference, but due to money constraints I cant buy another 14k just incase something were to happen. Heres my question...
24 gallon tank, 150 watt Sunpod MH.
Im keeping zoos and LPS at different heights throughout the tank (Acans, frogspawn, chalice)
Would I have any problem keeping, lets say, a LPS coral at the bottom? Like will I have to worry about it not getting enough light?
My guess would be 150 watts over a tank thats 20" deep to the bottom of the tank really shouldnt worry but I have to check

Thanks John. Any bulb youd recommend for the 20k spectrum? Or any bulbs anybody could recommend me? I see alot of the XMs being used on --.

I do hear a lot a good things about Radium, but they are on the little more expensive side. I have no experience with xm 20ks, however i do have experience 15k xms. With the 15 k xms, they start out pretty blue, but then get quite a bit more white and yellow. Thats all i got to say, have a fun time chosin.

Ah, Im lookin for a pretty blue light. I may ask my LFS what kind they use, but they have actinic supplements. Yea those radiums are gunna cost me a kidney. I read some reviews on the radiums and one guy was in my situation, same size tank too (Probably has the sunpod too judging by the article), and I may bust myself to get it. I want one thatll last a bit though, no $90 every 6 months.

20k s would have a lower par rating but it wouldnt be much to affect lps in a 20" tank.
This is not always true, you need to know the bulb manufacturer.
For example:
XM 250watt 20,000K = 73PPFD
Aquaconnect 250 watt 14,000K = 62PPFD
