tank looks good; you still have some snails without your sand, or you were never able to afford snails?
If yo do have em, I was wondering how are they handling the transition to bare bottom?

hey guys its been a while once again, but all my snails are alive and well, they seem to be handling the transition just fine

i actually think im gunna add sand back into it when i move back to college, i have decided i dont really like the look as much as i thought i would. no biggie tho. and my levels are great coastie, maybe im just lucky or maybe it just hasnt caught up to me but everything is a okay right now. i have a filter full of chaeto that wont stop growing, and im actually starting to get some coralline algae growing on my tank walls i have about 4 different spots that are about the size of a dime and it seems just about everyday i see a new little spot start to form.
ill post pics later tonight...i got some more base rock so its a little more filled up and i changed the scape around along with the new rock. oh and my fish is doing excellent he is fat and healthy

pics of the new scape, and the last pic is of my coralline and it is a lot more purple than it looks in this pic. there are about 4 spots about this big and one has 2 little circles branching out

awesome, btw prolly better going with the sand bottom again when you get a chance like you said
So that looks like a healthy colony, granted can't tell too much till its opened. The shroom is a nice bonus!

thanks man, yea in another month or so ill be back to a nice sandy bottom, but the zoas are still acclimating, but the majority of them have already opened up so i think they are pretty healthy from what i can see.

nice zoos.
but why did you go bare bottom, if you were just going to add sand again? was it the grain size? or did you go bare bottom, and not like it?
