i have a 10g and i am going to be putting in 1 cleaner. i havnt ever had any luck with the pepepermint's they always seem to dissapear in my tank for some reason.
so my vote is for a cleaner
peps and clearners are two totally different things, cleaner shrimp refers to fish cleaning where pepermint are nocturnal and can be part of your clean up crew(CUC)
Peppermint Shrimp are Cleaner Shrimp so I don't understand your question. There are many species of Cleaner Shrimp (Lysmata sp.), Peppermint Shrimp are one of them (Lysmata wurdemanni).

What else are you putting into the tank?
For corals I'm going to have softies and a couple lps.
As for fish I will have a pair of false percs, a six line, and MAYBE one other peaceful fish.

2 peps and a scarlet skunk cleaner sound like a good fit in a 24?
That sounds fine IMO. I would get two of each though if it were me.

I'll take your advice bang. I was just worried that a 24 wouldn't have enough for all those shrimp to clean
Stick your "very clean" hand in there once in a while while holding some krill.
Careful with a sixline wrasse though, sometimes they will kill shrimp. I guess it depends on the individual fish, but mine will attack any snail that flips over accidentally.

Thanks for the advice. I not even sure I want one yet. We'll see what happens when I start stocking
