Percula clowns " what food diet do they do best at "

just bought 4 young percula clowns " tank raised " , I would like to know what food to feed them ? frozen or dry flakes or both , are they meat eaters or alage eaters ?

I try to mix it up, flakes, frozen brine, and something meaty. they like all.

i've had my false percs. for 7 months and they're doing great on Formula 1 flake and frozen brine shrimp.

Mine love blood worms. They get some about 2 days a week (a pack last for 24hours, so they get it two days in a row).
They will pick on algea if you have it. mine like to eat the green algea that grows on the filter.
other than that they get frozen brine.

When I feed mine brine shrimp they seem to bite it and then spit it back out, but don't go back for it. Are they able to somehow suck some of the meaty bits off of it and get what they need?

Mine eat whatever I put in the tank. I normally use formula 1 and 2 and once or twice a week mysis shrimp. They even seem to eat marine snow when I feed it to the filter feeders.

what about zooplankton, the guy at the fish store told me, like al fish go nuts for it but it smells horrible

With my perc. I went to the store bought forzen mysis shrimp, frozen squid, and some of the larger frozen plankton. I put them in a bowl to gether let tem melt, rinsed, and drained. Then put them back in the trays and give my tank half a cube of that evrey ofther day, and on the other days flake food.
It seems to be working well.
Also they love live baby brine shrimp.....LOVE...............
