percula questions...

ok... yesterday I added a nice looking, 2.5" clownfish to my aquarium. At the LFS he was active in the display and he ate flake food. He (she?) was in the display with another smaller percula and a bunch of cleaner shrimp, hermits, etc.
Got him home after only a few minutes in the bag. I did the acclimating routine (small water changes from tank to bag for 30 min) , and poured him into net and placed him into tank w/lights off, just daylight from the room. Well, he's just a spaz. Has his nose to back of the glass and goes back n forth, back n forth. All day and all night. I tried feeding him today and he wants nothing of it.
Water param's are good. He's doesn't show any other signs of stress.
Can I expect him to chill-out after a few days? Should I keep the lights off to help lower the stress level? I figured if he was stressed he would just hide in a crevice or something. I'm also wondering if this was a mated pair in the display. There were no anenome in the display. Any thoughts?
Also; does a "true" percula have the black lines between the white and orange? How does one tell the diff btwn flase and true?
Whew.... nice short post there
Thanks

can someone please help a new aquarist. Please give me the low-down on live rock. Is it better to get it all in the aquarium before it cycles? Cured? Where is a good place to buy etc.

lol.. um... did you mean to click the "new thread" button?
but to help with your question....seeing as it doesnt have anything to do with MY question ;) lol
If you are starting a new aquarium, with no livestock yet, you can go with "un cured". If you wish to shorten the time it takes to cycle your new tank, I'd go with "cured" rock from an established system, or the local fish store thats has had the rock "cured" for several weeks to a month at least. You will pay mucho more $$ for cured rock from a LFS. There are several places on-line to order rock. you can email me if you want to know where I got my rock on-line.
good luck and have fun! I know I am!

She ;) will chill out on a few days. They are very very territorial so moving them to a new territory is very very stressful.

thanks for the input. I did a search on "percula" and just spent 2.5hrs reading 800 or so posts... whew...
I also jumped in a chat-room and started a nice little "argument" between some folks with quite varying opinions on clownfish! lol But I learned alot....
