u can put any percula in any tank together. perculas are the most calm non aggressive clownfish you can get. if i had an extra tank i would love to get a snow flake percula and black percula to mate together. the out come of that would be amazing
.
OH and make sure that when u get the 2 clownfish, make sure one is about an inch bigger than the other, or bigger.

the reason why i asked is because i got a false percula and about two days later i got a true percula and they kinda started fighting when they would go near each other they would like shake and now their fine though. is it possible for them to mate??

Sounds like they're going through the ritual of pairing. They are both doing the quivering? They may be undecided about who will get which role in the relationship. The dominant fish will become female. the quiver is a show of submission, usually done by the male. Their behavior may be irratic (fighting, getting along) for a while, you will know the bond has formed when they sleep in the same place at night.

yes they are both quivering and they sleep in the same place to. they also are like aggressive when other fish get near where they always are.

Perculas and Ocellaris (False percs) are not the same species of fish, and there's no such thing as a black percula, that's an ocellaris.
Perculas are also not the least aggessive clownfish. Ocellaris usually tend to be smaller, calmer, and since they're easier to breed, cheaper. Skunks tend to be less aggressive, as well.

This is the exact reason I hate it when people call ocellaris clowns false perculas. there is a lot of room for confusion. You are exactly right, however there are nicer ways to correct people without degrading them. This is a friendly site ya know!

You took it our of the filter or the tank?
If it dies it will give you an amonia spike that could be dangerous.

An anemone dying is a horrible event. Lots of nasty toxins can be released into the tank.
You'll want to cover whatever it got sucked into, to prevent future reoccurrences.

As it decomposes it can cause an ammonia spike like anything that dies in our aquariums. They arent noted for releasing toxins. And if it is a large anemone the mass can cause more of a spike than when compared to a small fish dying. Its not like the ammonia is going to squirt all over the tank. it will only happen as it decomposes. Not all at once as it dies. It is advisable to remove the dead (not dying.. DEAD) before it completely decomposes. But not to scare people into tossing an anemone that has a chance at life. So many times I have heard people say " I tossed it, because I didnt want it to wipe out my tank", just to find out that their anemone was a little unhappy.

ME TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have I ever said how much common names suck!!
. FALSE percula (occelaris)is probably the one I dis-like the most followed by "black percula" when the clown in question is also an occelaris
but I must say that I think you are guilty again
. I am fairly certain that the snow flake is also an occelaris.
