I'm sure they are!
but you'll be expanding your coral collection soon wont you? Try a monti cap. I bet you'll get some good results with them.. if you search around you can find them for dirt cheap.

Im really excited. I want to join the nano club started by Nissan but I cant upload pics of my new tank for some reason and I figure they'll need proof so I can join.

a mantis shouldn't be interested in corals. They'll "wreck" your snails/crabs/shrimp/fish. If coral is in a spot where the mantis may be digging then he may push or move the coral... but they won't eat them.

LOL. my bad. by wreck I guess I meant bury, smash, pick up and throw at me. That sort of thing. I hear about Mantis story's of them picking up corals and hiding them inside of their burrows.
But then I saw Cranberry's tank in Joes thread and now I think maybe some coral In their wouldn't be so bad. I really like the way Cranberry's tank looks with the Macro and Zoas. So now I'm Thinking maybe some Xenias.

I think you button polyps will be fine with a mantis - especially given that they spread like crazy once they get happy. Button polyps btw come in several different colors and flavors. They are a protopalythoa and respond well to feeding - mine like mysis shrimp. Personally I would raise those lights another six inches up, air isn't going to effect your par, but it will effect the amount of heat you are generating in that tank. Just my $.02 worth

Thanks Scopus! I raised my lights about a foot off my surface. My Zoas are happy and my Xenias stretched out very long. longer than Ive seen before so I think its good..
Im glad to hear that buttons spread alot. I think they were happy at the top of the tank however because now they only open halfway.
Thanks !

Hi everyone, Im new to the saltwater world but I have some questions if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. I have a 28 gal Nano tank. Went on vacation and I think it got a little too warm. My zoanthids are now white. Are the dead? Will they come back? Should I remove them? Thanks
